This class is a first step toward mastering the art of entertainment drafting using Vectorworks Spotlight. Under the expert guidance of Chris Cotone, you'll dive deep into the fundamentals of drafting a flawless lighting plot.
What to Expect:
What is this course about? Vectorworks 101: Beginning Drafting teaches students to use ‘Vectorworks Spotlight’ to make light plots and 2D Renderings of sets and lighting instruments & environments.
What will course participants learn in this course? Students will learn skills including 2D Drafting, importing set elements, manipulating lighting devices, spotlight numbering, labels legend creation and exporting plots as viewports on sheet layers.
How does this course relate to crafts represented by the local in the entertainment and exhibition industries? It is necessary in both film and live productions to install, maintain and coordinate the lighting effects necessary for productions to operate… The final creation of light plots will detail the productions lighting resources and allow for efficient and safe installation and operation of the lighting equipment for both live productions and film productions.
